What is Kingdom Kids?

Every Sunday, at both our Salem and Keizer Campuses we host Kingdom Kids, our version of Sunday School. 

Kingdom Kid's Values

Teaching the Bible
We believe the Bible is God's Word and is relevant to every age. We also believe that children each learn in their own unique ways and therefore, strive to teach the Bible in a creative and child-friendly way, incorporating various learning styles.
Families
We recognize that it is the parents whom God will hold primarily responsible for the spiritual training of their children and that the home is the primary place where children spend their time. Therefore, Kingdom Kids will seek to support parents/guardians in the teaching and training of their children by providing them with tools and opportunities for the family to worship together.
Community
We believe that growth happens in community. As we seek to create a space where kids are known and belong, we step them towards relational connection with their leaders and their peers, which in turn steps them towards authentic faith. We introduce small groups at a young age with leaders who are consistent in attendance and able to demonstrate what it means to live a godly life.
Safety
Children learn best in a safe environment and the Church should be a safe community. To ensure this, every team member must complete a background check and security measures are taken to protect our children and our team such as check-in and check-out procedures, controlled teacher to child ratios, and incident report procedures.
Fun
God created laughter and smiles and platypuses and we LOVE them in Kingdom Kids! We seek to share the fun that exists within the Christian community and faith with our children, families, and team members.

Amanda has been serving in kids ministry at Church on the Hill since 2023, but her heart for sharing the love of God with kids goes back much further. She has a heart to see kids inviting God into their daily lives, and learn to worship and trust in Him. She is blessed to be married to Kenneth since 2013 and they have four beautiful and spunky kids.
Christina has been attending COTH since 2013 and serving in Kid Nation since 2018. She’s been married to her “youth group sweet-heart” Josh, since 2006, together they have three children, Zachary, Grace and Noah. “One of the most rewarding things about leading our Salem campus children's ministry is partnering with parents in the discipleship of their kids. Helping equip them to walk out their faith with courage and boldness."

Join us at 'EXPERIENCE' Youth to grow deeper in your relationship with Jesus, while making new friends, and lifelong memories.

Every Tuesday night is packed with awesome games, loads of laughs, and deep discipleship. Our team is passionate about leading youth into a personal relationship with Jesus that has the power to transform their lives and the lives of those around them.

Calibrate - High School Youth

Our Calibrate Youth exists to help high school students experience the full life that God intends through Jesus Christ and to inspire them to embrace their identity in Christ and walk in love, righteousness, and purpose. Our Tuesdays are filled with lots of fun, worship, powerful message and small group time. We hope you will take a look around, see what is going on, and come join us.

JOY HOGE

Kid Nation Director - Keizer

Joy's Bio
Joy is a mom of three and wife of one, and as highly organized as she likes things, most of her days include more than one curve ball...such a good place to be (‘yay’ for the magic eraser). Her family loves all things culinary and says collectively that their dream vacations would always revolve around food (a second 'yay' for the invention of the treadmill). Her greatest life lesson? The value of community - on this, she can't say enough.

TAYLOR WILKINS

High School Pastor - Salem

Taylor's Bio
For the past eight years, Taylor has worked with youth through Fellowship of Christian Athletes and as one of Church on the Hill’s youth pastors. It is here that he found a passion for engaging, equipping, and empowering students to be disciple-makers. Taylor loves to see youth come alive in their faith and love for Jesus! Taylor and his wife Melissa have two wonderful kiddos: Judah and Georgia.

MICAH HERRING

Middle School Pastor - Salem

Micah's Bio
Micah grew up in a missions minded family giving him a big heart for people. Micah loves coffee, disc golf, and hanging out with family. He and his wife Samantha have two sons, David and baby Ezra. The Herring’s have been helping out with the youth at Church on the Hill for two years, and are excited to continue seeing God work.

MASON SHAW

Youth Pastor - Keizer

Mason's Bio
Mason graduated with a degree in Christian ministry from Corban University while playing baseball. He loves Jesus, fishing, reading and walks with his wife, Carlie. Mason desires to see kids know Jesus intimately. He is passionate about helping kids grow in their knowledge of the Word, their relationship with Him and as disciples who go make and disciples.
